Walk, don't run!!

The other day I was in the living room using my laptop. Well, the kids were aggravating me (on purpose) so I grabbed my laptop and headed for my bedroom. I swiped the wall on my way and this is what happened to the receiver for my wireless mouse. Of course without the receiver the mouse didn't work. So I had to go and buy a new one for $45.00. I tried to blame it on the kids but they said it wasn't their fault, which it wasn't. So the moral of this story is don't grab your laptop and take off like a bat out of hell lol!!

Miracles

Great day!!

Melissa is having a great day today! It's good to see her happy and back to normal. She still has a sore throat but it doesn't seem to be bothering her. Tomorrow is her last day of flex camp (sports strength training) and she's looking forward to going to youth group on Friday! Now that flex camp is over she'll be able to relax and enjoy the rest of her summer with her friends.

I want a hamster

Melissa has decided she wants another hamster. Of course I am against it because I am the one who has to take care of the pets. Not to mention we have a cat who would constantly have his eye on the little guy. She has been helping me around the house to prove how responsible she can be. But since she hasn't been feeling well she hasn't been talking about it as much. I'm sure the subject will resurface when she starts to feel better.

Here is my son Archer. He jumped up on the counter and said "mom, take my picture". I took his picture and then asked him what he was doing. He said "I'm Spiderman" lol. Yes, it's been a boring summer around here.

Time for a hobby!

Life has been so boring lately so I've decided it's time for me to get a hobby. My kids are growing up and don't really want to hang out with their mom anymore so I need something to fill my time. You can only surf the Internet for so many hours a day lol. I do have a lot to keep me busy with housework and bookkeeping but I want something fun to do also. My friend Tammy has suggested making a scrapbook. First I need to figure out what I'm going to make a scrapbook of. I had pictures printed and ready to go but decided to work on a different subject right now. So out comes the camera and I'll be driving everybody nuts taking pictures. So hopefully soon I will have some scrapbook pages to show here in my blog.

Happy Birthday Robby

Well, today is my husband's birthday. So he is heading to Austin through the storms and flooded roads to go to a party. He heads to Austin every year on his birthday to celebrate with his friends. He assures me that he will be on high ground and not in any danger from the floods. So I pray that he is right and comes home safe.

Girls Day Out

Today was "girls day out" for me and my daughter Melissa. We had a lot of fun getting manicures and pedicures. Then we went out for lunch and back home to watch a movie. A very enjoyable and relaxing day which we both needed.

My Friend Tammy

After I read the comment from my sister I thought I'd better find a picture of Tammy somewhere. So here she is!

First let me clarify that she does not look like a giraffe. I don't have a picture of her and she loves giraffes so that's why I chose this picture. Tammy and I have known each other about 6 months but it seems like we've always been friends. She is very creative and loves to do scrapbooking. She was going to show me how to get started on it but then things started taking off in her life and she is now very busy. She has 5 children so she really has her hands full. I love when we get together because we always have fun talking about our crazy lives. She is a great person to know and I am very happy that she is one of my friends.

Emotions

During the past several weeks I have gone through many emotions. Mostly feelings that aren't good. I have been:

disappointed

worried

depressed

had my feelings hurt

hurt by someone I trusted

stressed

anger

confused

and a little bit of happy.

I am writing this down because sometimes it makes me feel better to get things off my chest. Although I won't mention any names, I am still hurt and upset. Some of the things that have caused me to feel this way are things being said that were twisted around and were not accurate in the way they were presented. People I trusted that I can no longer trust. This is in no way referring to my best friend and she knows who she is. These things will pass and life will go on, but I must say that in the past few weeks life has really sucked.

This is Lissa and Chanel. She trained Chanel from start to finish and won some ribbons along the way. Her and Chanel were very close but the dog belongs to her aunt and after her aunt got married she hasn't been able to see Chanel as much as she would like to. You may notice Lissa looks younger in these pictures, they were taken in 2005.

These are my kids doing their best impression of cleaning the kitchen. As you can see it didn't last long because I only had time to take two pictures. They quickly changed modes and went on to torture the cat.

Yes, this is my sister equipped and ready to go zip-lining. I must say she is much braver that I am. They were vacationing in Costa Rica....I wonder what other activities they participated in??

Let's cruise

Here's my sister Jackie. We are very close and I miss her a lot because we don't see each other very often. We have so much fun when we're together, we never stop laughing. In this picture it looks like she's on a cruise with her family. They love going on cruises and also traveling around the world. They have been to many exciting places. I can't wait to hear the story from this vacation!
