Weight update

Not much to report here. I haven't lost any more weight but haven't gained any either. I'm going to put it in high gear and see if I can lose another 10 pounds this month. I'll take it 10 pounds at a time and see what happens.

Chewy's new haircut

Poor Chewy, take her in for a bath and a hair cut and she comes home with bows in her hair lol. She didn't seem to mind as much as Robby. I wanted to get a few pictures of her before he took them out. I must say she feels much better after her hair cut though because it's been so hot!

A summer of movies

This summer I have seen more movies in a theater than I have in the past 10 years. My daughter and I have been spending a lot of time together (which I cherish) and going to the movies is one of the things we enjoy doing. Some of the movies we have seen are "Don't Mess With the Zohan" which I did not like at all. "What Happens In Vegas", a cute movie with no drama (I don't like drama, too much in real life). "Juno", one of my favorites. "27 Dresses", another cute romantic comedy. "Mamma Mia" a real feel good movie, we loved that one. "Then She Found Me" which has to be one of the strangest movies I have ever seen. I swear, nobody in that movie ever smiled throughout the whole movie with the exception of Bette Midler. Melissa and I both came out shaking our heads because it was such an odd movie. Some others are "Baby Mama" and "Step Brothers" and that's about as far as my memory will take me lol. So now we're waiting for something that we want to see to come out. It's been slim pickins lately.

Change of plans

Well, there's been a change in plans for my sons choice of colleges. After reserving a dorm, going through orientation and enrolling in Texas State he's decided he wants to stay home and go to a college here in town. Which I have no problem with since this is the first thing I suggested when we started looking at colleges. I am happy about his decision to go to a Community college to take his basics and then he can transfer them where he wants when he figures out what he wants to do. He already has 3 credits at the college he is going to because he took college courses in high school. The college is only 10 minutes from home so that's another plus. So all in all I am happy with the change of plans!

Snuggles emergency

Here is my sweet kitty Snuggles. Friday morning he was outside for about 2 minutes. When he came in he started throwing up. He threw up twice but I thought he was just working out a hairball. By the afternoon he was just sitting around and not acting like his normal spoiled self. I was concerned but I thought he would be okay in the morning. When we got up he was worse. Just laying around lethargic with his eyes closed and when I picked him up he was just limp. Being a holiday weekend my vet nor any other vet in the city was working. So I took him to the animal emergency hospital, they are open 24 hours a day. The vet came in and said he couldn't say what was wrong and wanted to admit him into the hospital, take blood work, x-rays etc. I knew I wasn't going to leave him but I waited for the estimate. They wanted $655 ...I said what are my other options. So they gave him a shot of some kind of Pepcid for an upset stomach and some fluids in case he was dehydrated. I told them I would take him home and if he got worse before my vet came in on Monday I would bring him back. By the time we got home he was already feeling better. Started getting back to his normal self as the day went on. Turns out he just had a little heartburn. $112 for heartburn lol. Next time I'll just pour some Pepto Bismol down his little throat.

This picture makes me laugh. Lissa and her escort look like they're at a funeral.

It looks more like a wedding than a bday celebration.

The party has begun.

Starting to have fun. Lissa didn't get home until 1:30 am
